When I first saw this book, I wasn't inspired to buy it. But then I saw Lisa Kan and her samples from this book at a bead show, and boy, was I wowed! The pieces are so much lovelier in person, the photos in the book just don't do them justice. I purchased the book right then and there. That being said, this isn't a book for beginners. The projects are detailed and complicated. Just right for an experienced beader to flex creative muscles.
This is the very first beading book I ever bought. Using it I taught myself how to bead with cabochons, now I teach other people how to do it. I just love all the pictures with ideas, my students use it to decide what techniques to use on their pieces. I have created many beautiful designs using the techniques I learned in this book. The directions are clear, and well illustrated, easy to follow. You can mix and match lots of different techniques to create your own original work of art.

I bought this book for a pollyanna gift for a fellow beader, after browsing it, i got two more copies, one for myself and one for my boss at the bead shop where i work. This is a great little book with answers to all kinds of questions on all kinds of beading. Even experienced beaders will find tidbits of wisdom in this handy book.
