Any reader/collector of True Crime for the early 1930's will find this to be one of the best books within the last 10 years dealing with the day-to-day activities of John Dillinger during his violent career through the Midwest. Dary Matera has done an excellent job of putting together the bank robberies, the girlfriends, and his family who endured the terrible months that Dillinger was on the run. This book puts to rest the many rumors surrounding the Dillinger myth. It is worth tracking down a copy and reading it and keeping it in your True Crime Library.
