As a Christmas gift we received a few of the Indiespensable books and Matterhorn was one of them. The Indiespensable gift was great for introducing us to writers we had not read before. Matterhorn is one of those books that stays with you long after you have finished it.

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
The Da Vinci Code

I know there is a lot of hype about this book...and the movie, which usually would make me pause to vote it best book of the decade. But you have to admit, it is a really good book. It has action, history, romance and was to me a major eye opener to the role of religion in human history. Even if you have seen the movie the book is worth reading.
