Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach
Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah

shp2th56, September 1, 2009

I read this missive when it came out in '77. At the time I was amazed Bach could put into words, concepts I and my friends were trying to understand. While reading I kept thinking, 'wow-wow-wow',we agreed,we talked late,we kept notes,we thot this book was the end of questions and now all we/I had to do was--go forth and emulate richard. If only we could get our hands on a copy of the 'handbook' we'd be set. Then the last page w/ it's "everything in this book may be wrong" put me back at the beginning. Most of my friends had given up on the concepts, especially we're our own messiah. Since the late '70's I've reread it at least 20 times and when the handbook came out I read it again. It will always be in my 10 best loved books. Read both and brush some of the intellectual rust off to see a different perspective on "why am I here?".
