This book rocks!! Finally, a masterpiece. The adventure is superb, and the narrative is cool. The hobbit became my favourite character in just 2 chapters.

Pirate Diary: the Journal of Jake Carpenter (UK Edition) by Richard Platt
Pirate Diary: the Journal of Jake Carpenter (UK Edition)

Give this book a skip. It's not worth reading. The story is very kidish and usual. This book has nothing new to offer. Though the illustrations are good, they failed to hold my interest. The diary format isn't good and one loses count of the days. I hope castle diary would be better.

Study in Scarlet (UK Edition) by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Study in Scarlet (UK Edition)

I used to love Sherlock Holmes books. I was quite eager to read it and the first part proved very interesting. But the second part left me disappointed.
The story started to drag and it killed the fun out of the book. The mystery was good and nicely backed-up with evidence. A good read.
