Quite good; Definitely a sci-fi but the sort that you can really see how it could be possible, someday in the future. The earth is at war with a mysterious 'other' and children are being trained to fight in the upcoming battle that will end either them or us. You can feel the sadness of children not allowed to be children- although different I saw parallels to the way our current culture also makes kids grow up so quickly, by the way so much is sexualized. A well-written picture, this entire book.
