Dark Mission draws back the curtain of secrecy created by NASA to hide what it knows is out there in space and what it knows regarding man's origins. My second choice is Forbidden Archaeology by Michael Creemo which explores much of the same subject matter.
At times the math makes this wonderful book a somewhat difficult read. On the other hand, this remains the definitive authority not just on "The Face On Mars". Hoagland takes it much further in his analysis of the pyramids and the "Fortress" Cydonian features. Hoagland predicts that humanity is in for real surprises once the reality of these structures is confirmed. I heartily agree.
