Vlad: The Last Confession by C C Humphreys
Vlad: The Last Confession

stuckinxthesky, March 20, 2013

I originally picked up this book because of my fascination with and curiosity about the real man behind the name "Dracula," but it hooked me on so much more than that. It also inspired me to get into more historical fiction. This book takes the legend of a man whose name immediately brings to mind a vicious, bloodthirsty tyrant, and turns it upside down to show you the underside: the struggle of an erring, even vulnerable, human that was so much like the rest of us. I wanted to re-read it the second I finished the last page!

Christopher Moore never ceases to amaze me with his ability to make me laugh out loud (even in public) while reading his books, and Sacré Bleu is definitely no exception! A perfectly comedic, creative, and engaging story!
