I'm buying this book for a friend who borrowed my copy, read it twice and now wants to read it a THIRD time. That's how good these stories are. Totally haunting, heartbreaking and funny. I was constantly stopping to share lines with whoever was in the room. Worth every penny.
This is an excellent craft book. The author breaks down the scene into essential elements, reminding experienced writers of what they may have overlooked and teaching beginning writers what the keys are right from the start. No matter what style or genre you work in, this book will clarify and inspire. It's been extremely helpful to me as well as a joy to read.
