While the book is very educational and thorough, I found it a little dry and sometimes boring. however, this book was a great segue to other food books.

The food industry spends billons on lobbing for their place on the food pyramid and our table. They also spend billions on marketing, as a result consumers spend billons at the check out counter. Marion Nestle has first hand knowledge of this food political game. She has opened my eyes to the food industries propaganda. I recommend this book, if you aren?t interested in the food aspect of it, read it just to learn the political aspect.
