Book of Shadows: Sweep #1 by Cate Tiernan
Book of Shadows: Sweep #1

thepinkkdart, October 3, 2006

Sweep. Wow, there are so many words. Breathtaking, is one of them. If i havent said it before i'll say it now: the fact that Morgan is imperfect makes her that much better. It makes her more human, and when she has the stunning inside of a wiccan good-girl, it makes us all love her with a firey passion. Sweep I first read in seventh grade and now im a junior in high school...i still read them, and have in the meantime read them about 10 times each. There are fourteen, and a super, in the Sweep series, so if you like this one, just wait. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of discoveries, conflict, and most importantly in Sweep, the love affairs. Not only did i fall in love with Cal, but even more so with Hunter, believe me, you will too.

New Moon (Twilight Saga #2) by Stephenie Meyer
New Moon (Twilight Saga #2)

thepinkkdart, October 3, 2006

Simply belle. I absolutely loved Twilight and cried when Edward left in this one. That is the only setback i think, Edward leaving. He is just so incredible, as a character and as Bella's love. He has to be my favorite character, and because he didnt return until nearly the end my heart sank and had to settle for Jacob Black. The entrance to Jacobs life is no doubt intriguing, but i just felt as if a piece of my heart was missing(just like Bella). This novel is so well written that, as you can see, i felt when the characters did, and because i read so vigorously, thats saying something. Stephenie Meyer, you are ingenious, keep up the good work! I cannot wait untill Eclipse is out!

Twilight (Twilight Saga #1) by Stephenie Meyer
Twilight (Twilight Saga #1)

thepinkkdart, October 3, 2006

Twilight is one of my favorite books in the entire world as of today. My first favorite book was Harry Potter and while Harry will always be in my heart as #1, i have to admit Twilight has squezzed itself a place too. Bellas character, while not perfect, not to mention a little clumsy, makes her even more irrisistable towards her readers. She is incredible, and i cant stop thinking about her thoughts and feelings, especially towards Edward. Edward in his unnatural beauty, makes him and Bella a perfect match, and makes me fall more in love with the couple. In fact when i found out Twilight was coming out with a second book I ran (literally) towards my book store and grabbed it off the shelves. New Moon, is just as good as the first...

How to Read Literature Like a Professor: A Lively and Entertaining Guide to Reading between the Lines by Thomas C. Foster
How to Read Literature Like a Professor: A Lively and Entertaining Guide to Reading between the Lines

thepinkkdart, October 3, 2006

I am currently a junior in high school and in English 3(Ap). Mr. Foster's "how to" was an amazing find of my english teachers i have to say. Everything he said i had to nod along with and write little notes in the margins reminding me of how much i like disecting the novels that i read. Not only is this book informative in a way that will help one in the future, but it is also witty and a joy to read. Thanks Mr. Foster!
