Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales of H.P. Lovecraft by H P Lovecraft
Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales of H.P. Lovecraft

Tina Blacksmith, October 21, 2014

There are lots of great, weird and eerie stories in this huge book. For anyone who is a fan of the strange and bizarre, H.P. Lovecraft's Necronomicon is the way to go! His stories just have an otherworldly quality. I just read Cool Air and really liked it, so pick this one up!

The Price of Fear; The Film career of Vincent Price by Joel Eisner
The Price of Fear; The Film career of Vincent Price

Tina Blacksmith, August 10, 2014

Considering that Vincent Price is my favorite actor, I was thrilled when someone gifted me this book. It is his life, in his own words, as told to Joel Eisner. Price recounts so many memories in this book, like the time he and some other actors had a contest to see who had the most "shapely" calves! Highly recommended for Vincent Price fans young and old! :)

The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan
The Strain

Tina Blacksmith, August 10, 2014

I am now reading The Fall, and I have to say that this trilogy has me hooked. Don't mind those who say this was an attempt to cash in on the vampire craze. Guillermo del Toro had drawings and ideas of the vampires way before Twilight came on to the scene. These books are taut and well-written. If you want sparkly vamps, these books are not for you. If you want vampires the way they should be...out for blood...then I suggest reading The Strain!

The Bad Seed by William March
The Bad Seed

Tina Blacksmith, September 22, 2013

The Bad See is creepy, not because it is about murder, but because it is about a child that kills people. In today's society, when we watch the news, all we see is murder. It's not as shocking as it probably was when this book was written. The Bad See is a really good read!

The Best of Joe R. Lansdale by Joe R. Lansdale
The Best of Joe R. Lansdale

Tina Blacksmith, September 22, 2013

Joe R. Lansdale is a wonderful writer. I especially liked "Bubba Ho-Tep" and Incident "On and Off a Mountain Road". Lansdale will make you laugh, but he also has some serious stuff for good measure. Read this...you won't be disappointed!
