This author writes with delightful authority about all things military, including exciting naval battles. He does a great job of presenting the moral dilemmas that only become obvious with the introduction of outsiders to the world.

You know how when you go to sleep, you think of a favorite book and create a fantasy that you're living in it with the characters? (Oh, that's just me?) Anyway, now you can do that between the pages with Thursday Next in the Bookworld. A most original series. Don't start it if you have anything else to do at all. Definitely don't start it if you can't get to the bookstore immediately after finishing one. Because you'll definitely crave the Next.
