A History of the End of the World: How the Most Controversial Book in the Bible Changed the Course of Western Civilization by Jonathan Kirsch
A History of the End of the World: How the Most Controversial Book in the Bible Changed the Course of Western Civilization

I bought this book after hearing Terry Gross's interview of the author on NPR. I found it to be extremely compelling.
Although the book would be appealing without the author's occasional rhetoric, it is non-the-less an important and boldly written book that deserves to be much more widely read and discussed.
I recommend this book highly to people of all faiths (or non at all), especially those who appreciate a clearer understanding of why the world is the way it is.
