I love this book -- Liz keeps her focus on the people behind the food, the ingredients and the craft. Lot's of great information, and an excellent read.
And, in response to the previous comments by the "insulted Portlander". What book were you reading? I did not know that "The New Old Lompac" was nouveau houte cuisine -- what a laugh. This book is an excellent read for locals -- a tribute to local cuisine and ingredients. Yes, Liz left out countless locations -- I'm ready for the second edition!
