13 volumes, really? Signed and First edition? It is an experience to read it. To really get into the reand and to go on and into a jouney at that time in history, on a mission, in canoes down the columbia, try that in a canoe today, better yet sail it, and to think they had to do it before goretex, GPS, google earth, or powells. Wow, a truly must have for me, living up in the woods between Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens.
