Opening Up: A Guide To Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships by Tristan Taormino
Opening Up: A Guide To Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships

wellofnourishment, January 8, 2013

This book trumps the old stand-by for poly relationships, 'The Ethical Slut'. It has been so very helpful for me to read the chapters on jealousy and compersion to quell any negative emotions that come up in relationships. The break-down of jealousy into different concepts like insecurity, the need to be included, and fear of abandonment, along with ways to work with these negative emotions, has been life changing.

I think that if everyone read this book, even if they are not in an open relationship, we would be a much happier and free society.

This is one of the books used for the National Board exams for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine licensure. What more can one say?

Fellow local organic beekeepers in Portland tell me that this is a great easy read for a new beekeeper. I'm told that it is the book recommended by ORSBA and will be the first book used once the Master Beekeeping program starts up here in Oregon.

This book has material which is in the acupuncture foundations licensing board. It's a must read for any Chinese medicine student. As an old wise person once said, leave the herbs in the medicine pot if you can have good food.
