Five Fortunes by Beth Gutcheon
Five Fortunes

whitefield3, September 8, 2009

The author created a great story about women you can relate to, believe in, and wish that you could meet at a health spa or really, anywhere. The setting, the characters, and the story are so satisfying.

Turn Coat (Dresden Files #11) by Jim Butcher
Turn Coat (Dresden Files #11)

whitefield3, April 20, 2009

Really enjoyed the role of Mouse in this one, and the plot turns insure you keep on turning the pages!
Butcher has outdone himself again!. The way he blends the fantasy realm and the real world make you believe in the characters personalities and he keeps them true to themselves. Each Dresden novel has made me want the next one and this is no different! But now I want a Foo dog, too.

A great story that makes you want to call the best friends you've had in your life and laugh and cry with them one more time.

If my local coffee shop had these people, I would be there every day!
Can't wait to read more of her stories.

Midshipwizard Halcyon Blithe by James M. Ward
Midshipwizard Halcyon Blithe

whitefield3, November 13, 2008

This creative fantasy follows Midshipwizard Halcyon Blithe on his first sea voyage in a way reminiscent of Horatio Hornblower by C.S. Forester. The sea battles and intrigues are so entertaining that you hate for the book to end. Thank goodness there is one sequel, sure hope there are more to come.
