Herzog by Saul Bellow

wiky, April 5, 2006

Broken yet still alive, self-mocking and self-searching, Herzog, a man who once hurt people and then get hurt begins to think about the life he has being led for several decades. The more he thinks, writes, the more he regrets, douts. This is a world that leaves no room for weakness and sentiment. you are doomed to die yet you have to struggle to go on. Herzog survives, he leads his way into the light. Moses, you are born to erase all the confusion and pain.
