This book became our "bible" while we were on the Big Island. Not only was the book full of useful information about all of the great things to do and see but it was also written with a terrific sense of humor. It was also refreshing to read actual recommendations about various businesses (i.e. scuba diving, restaurants, hotels, etc) and not feel like the reviewer was just trying to promote all businesses equally. It was full of such a range of things to do and see that no matter the fitness level or interest of the group, there were things to fit everyone. We used many of the businesses that came recommended and found that the reviews were quite accurate for each. We have since recommended this book to several other travelers going to the Big Island.
