Adiga delivers once again. This book is a collection of stories revolving around a fictional town in India. The stories having no relation with one another except the struggles that the characters share against the many faces of social injustice in modern India. The characters are so colorful, so multi- dimensional that each deserve a novel of their own. The story telling is so raw, so honest, relentless in leaving the reader enraged, disgusted, scandalized even maybe depressed. Yet you'd keep coming back for more. Truly not the book for the weak of heart.
Whether you're a child or an adult, this book guarantees to mesmerize you. The details are just unbelievable!
Worth every penny! A must gift for the curious growing boys (and girls!).
Our friend gave "Llama Mad at Mama" to my daughter for her birthday and that's how we discovered this wonderful children's book. What we love about it, is it's originality (I mean how often do you see Llamas in kids book?) and the realistic stories (like shopaholic moms).
It's a great gift idea!
