The second book in The Kingkiller Chronicles, The Wise Man's Fear takes everything great that was the first book, removes the introduction, and keeps all the excitement, adventure and humor we've come to know from Kvothe's story. If you like stories told within the first person, with a growing up/coming of age in school feel of Harry Potter with a more mature atmosphere and written in a way that you won't be able to put it down, then this book is perfect for you. This and it's predecessor, The Name of the Wind are worthy to be put in the same breath as such greats as Lord of the Rings and A Song of Ice and Fire. I've never laughed harder while reading a book than while reading this one. I've also never re-read a book more than twice before this series.
There is much more to be said for this book, such as the greatness Rothfuss has created with Kingkiller's own sense of magic and it's new and intriguing cultures and characters. These books are quickly gaining a lot of notice and for good reasons. I suggest you jump on this bandwagon because you won't regret it.
