Skate by Michael Harmon
Skate

zrbst2, January 14, 2007

I am not much of a book reader, but I had no problem finishing this book. I've been skating for years and was interested in seeing what perspective this author had on skateboarding. I would assume that the author would miss the mark and not have a clue about skateboarding like most of the general public, not so, but to my suprise the word "skate" in his book is used meaning "to escape, to runaway, to avoid." The author did a very good job telling the story of the struggles of a young boy growing up in a not so perfect home. I am very pleased with this book and would like the author to complete a second novel.
