Miranda July's awkward delivery is utter delight. It would seem that nearly every line delivered in this film is custom crafted overheat your brain and melt your heart. This film will definitely make you go back-and-forth forever.

Jandek on Corwood
Jandek on Corwood

When someone first tried to describe Jandek to me, they pretty much told me to imagine somebody who can't play any instruments putting out an entire album. Nothing he sings is truly profound. None of his chords or notes particularly sound good together. However, there is some draw to his eerie music. One might suggest that ingesting narcotics is a proper prelude to the Jandek experience.

If you hold certain ideals as to what makes music good, and you're not willing to let those ideals be torn down and thrown away, don't bother watching this film. You won't like it. If you enjoy watching a hellbent eccentric stake his claim as one of the greatest outsiders ever, then you might like it.

I had just watched The Devil and Daniel Johnston a few days prior to watching Jandek on Corwood. I couldn't help but compare the two. If you could only watch one, watch the Johnston film. However, if you love Lo-Fi... Watch both.

Alone in the Dark
Alone in the Dark

They said he was the next Jack Nicholson. _They_ are always passing us tripe for fact.

Alone in the Dark was probably the first survival-horror video game to hit the market, and likely remains one of the best (despite its graphical shortcomings). However, this crapbomb of a film seems to have no relation to the video game it's based on.

In fact, this film is so bad, I shut it off in the middle of a sex scene between Christian Slater and Tara Reid.

This movie will kill a party faster than Reid's publicist, Lizzy Grubman.

Hollow Man 2
Hollow Man 2

When did Christian Slater become a cut-rate actor destined to straight to DVD releases like Alone in the Dark? His last film was so bad I shut it off in the middle of a sex scene.

Do yourself a favor and pass this one up.
