It is very easy to read however I would not recommend it for younger teenagers to read. It makes a great book for discussion but it is very graphic in places.

Tribe Apart A Journey Into the Heart of American Adolescence

It is compelling from start to finish. I am a mother of a preteen and an education major. I read the book as required reading for a pedagogy class and am adding it to my library to share. It is wonderful and touching. I am definitely reading all her books.
