In addition to all that goes into raising three kids alone Jane & her friend Shelley manage to solve a crime with or without the blessings of Detective Mel Van Dyne. Jill Churchill has combined hilarity with intrigue & female independence with a little romance. A real pleasure to read.

They finally did it! Jill Churchill got Jane & Mel down the isle, at last. This is a great book with all Ms Churchill's talents up front. You must read all her previous books that lead up to this one. None are a 'continued' thing. But, after all the interactions between Jane & Mel everyone, including the readers, are wondering when they are going to tie the knot. Anticipating her next book to see if these two will 'patner up' in crime fighting. Don't miss reading any of Jane Churchill books. So fun & entertainng with mystery, laughs, & a little romance. Great!

Bell Book & Scandal

Jill Churchill keeps her stadard high with this book. The only repetition to be found in her books is in the list of characters along with two cats & Willard, all working wonderfully together. Every neighborhood should have a Jane Jeffry. Together with her friend Shelly, landscaping, cooking & crime are all addressed masterfully & with much suspence & fun along the way. Child rearing is done in a most tender yet funny real to life way. Money is not free flowing but coffee & food is. I have read each of her books & I highly recommend them all. Warm & cozy, suspense & laughter! You get ALL of this in each & every Jill Churchill book. Indian
