Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)
Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. I bought a copy of her Lebanese cookbook for a friend, since I have used it over the years. Didn't know about this one, so I picked it up on a lark. My dog had to go potty at 2 AM and now it is 5 and all I have been doing is reading and getting hungry. Wish the wars in the middle east would die down so I could experience this food in person, but this is the most sensory thing I have read recently and we have nearly if not over 300 cookbooks. DEFINITELY HIGH ON MY SHORT LIST. WILL BE BUYING FOR CLOSE FRIENDS. J

An excellent book. Better written and easier to read than McGee (sp?). This plus Madeleine Kamman's book and very little can stump you in the kitchen.
