Absolutely fantastic. A different flavor than the the earlier Mistborn novels, this new book in the mistborn world has a western gun-slinger feel that creates a unique fantasy experience.

A wonderfully accessible book about mathematics. You don't need to have a degree in mathematics to enjoy this book, but neither will you be bored if you do. It is a very interesting look at how knowledge and development of mathematics has occurred throughout civilization.

Glamour in Glass Glamourist History Book 2
by
Mary Robinette Kowal
Heather Sturgill
, August 06, 2012
Mary Robinette Kowal has developed her charming characters from Shades of Milk and Honey beyond their quaint Jane Austen-style existence to continue their story and build upon the remarkable magic-system that Kowal has created. The characters are lovable and fallible and the magic is interesting, diffuse and different from other fantasies. It is a wonderful bridge for lovers of Austin-esque books and fantasy books.

Poison Study Study 01
by
Maria V Snyder

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. Maria V. Snyder has created strong characters that you can love and fight for. This book is a must read for anyone out-growing young-adult fantasy, or anyone that just loves a good and easily accessible fantasy novel.

The Graveyard Book
by
Neil Gaiman
Heather Sturgill
, August 06, 2012
This is a wonderful book of death, intrigue, love and life. Neil Gaiman writes like a watercolor, the edges of murder and horrors sit at the edge of the story, just out of focus rather than bludgeoning the reader in the way of so many horror writers. Though much of this story is sad, it is truly about being loved and growing up to face your demons.
