Nag Hammadi Library in English Revised Edition
by
James Robinson
Mary Ann
, September 12, 2006
In 1947, the scrolls of the Nag Hammadi library were discovered in clay jars. They included versions of canonical books of the Bible and of popular extra-canonical books we have other sources for, such as the apocalyptic book of Enoch. But they also included texts known previously only by mention in other, and often hostile, authors. This classic collection of those texts opens a window for us into the diversity of early Christianity, and permits us to consider the writings on their own mysterious merits.

This is an amazing, poetic book about possibility and transformation, individual and social.
