This exquisite collective of modern irish folktales will leave you spellbound for hours. Andrew M. Greeley did a wonderful job in selecting the tales for this book. Emerald Magic is sure to leave you pondering the question, "Do you believe in faeries?"

Weaveworld

A spellbinding tale, though not the easiest read. Barker uses language as intricate as the story itself. Imagine worlds within worlds where anything is possible and youve got the basis of this tale. A very good read.

Soonie & The Dragon
by
Shirley Rousseau Murphy

This is one of the very best children's books I have read. Murphy spellbinds the younger audiance with three tales in the life of a lively girl named Soonie. This tale has everything one may want: Princesses, Castles, Monsters, Witches, and even Dragons. With a twist to the norm, Murphy portrays Soonie as the heroine of the tale. A great read for fantasy lovers young and old, sure to be a favorite.

A new twist on the old Goosebumps series, "Goosebumps Graphix" blends east with west with its new easy to read manga style. Readers will enjoy this new "comic" style while reading their favorite tales. The illustrations truely bring the stories to life.

A riviting tale of passion, dreams, and the human spirit, the Gears portray Native legend while intwining it with earthly facts in this tale entitled "People of the Earth". This story is portrayed through the eyes of many different characters, each with thier own view on how everything ties together. A truely great book that will leave the reader wanting more.

Wise Child
by
Monica Furlong

This enchanting tale by Monica Furlong is sure to keep readers hooked. Told in Wise Child's point of view it is a tale of preserverance, in which a small girl must choose between the likes of good and evil. I am reminded of a quote by Rainer Marra Rilke, "For Beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror we can just barely endure, and we admire it so; because is calmly disdains to destroy us."

Monica Furlong has outdone herself again with this prequel to "Wise Child". Delving into the past, we come to learn more about Juniper and how she aquired her powers. Readers will enjoy Juniper's transformation from Princess to Doran, as she comes to realize too that looks can be decieving, and that what is inside is what truely counts.

Colman
by
Monica Furlong

A better ending for Monica Furlong's trilogy I could not have asked for. The tale is wrought with twists and turns, as it is seen through the eyes of neither Juniper or Wise Child, nor Euny... but through the unexpected: Wise Child's cousin, Colman. Although he sees differently then the former, he too realizes that seeing isn't always believing. A great read, with enough depth to be enjoyable to anyone of any age.

Enter the realm of faeries, where nothing is what it seems. L. Sprague DeCamp illustrates a world in which anything is possible; where trees move, logic is illogical, and magic runs rampant. With the many twists and turns, this tale is sure to keep the reader guessing!
