Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. I loved the way the characters moved through time growing and changing the way real people do. The use of music and art added to the effect. This just seemed to be more than fiction because every little detail was so real.

I am halfway through this wonderful book and I already know I have read nothing more engaging, intelligent, funny and true all year. Amazingly, I can relate to every single character in the book (surely the mark of very talented writer). I can't help but racing to pick it up and read it every chance I get. At the same time I keep telling myself to slow down so it doesn't end so soon. Please do yourself a favor and read this one, even if it's the only book you read this year.

I just love everything about this book. I actually have read it 3 times. I have a first edition with the typo but unfortunately it has some water damage.
