From Dead to Worse

The latest novel in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Charlaine Harris does a great job of straddling the line between literature and trash. On the one hand, the novels are pure fun--compelling page-turners that will have you canceling plans to finish. On the other hand, the characters are consistent and have depth, and the writing is good enough to keep me coming back for more. I found these books right after the first season of the television show ended, and I started them because I liked the show. But now, I'm positively addicted to the books.

College Match A Blueprint for Choosing the Best School for You

This is a wonderful book that really helps students to figure out what they are looking for in a college experience. It assumes that finding the right college is an individualized process. It assumes that the student is interested in more than just rankings. A great companion book to one of the college guides, this book will make the college search a more focused effort.
