Anne of Green Gables:20TH Anniversary
by
Danielle Underhill
, July 04, 2014
This series of movies is wonderful! I love the way that much of the books found there way into these adaptations. The first 2 films in this series are pretty well spot on with the first few books in the Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery. The last one of the set is very different from the last few books in the Anne of Green Gables series, but it is still very well crafted and acted in this Sullivan Series adaptation. If you are looking for clean, family friendly entertainment that you can watch with your family over and over again, this series is a must! And if you are an Anne of Green Gables fan like me, you will also be genuinely pleased. I have yet to see a better casting of these characters or as much attention to detail! Highly recommended!

If you loved the first book, 13 Little Blue Envelopes, I promise you won't be disappointed in this one, its sequel! Fast paced, funny, sweet, sad, and full of wisdom. With characters that are believable and well developed and a story that's so enjoyable it's hard to put the book down. Just an overall excellent read!

I HATED this book! The author is so whiny and self rightous. I couldn't stand her at all. Ugh, I only got through half the book and had to stop reading it because it made me want to claw my eyes out. And I almost never stop reading a book once I start it, in fact, this is one of only a handful of books I have ever done that with. Avoid this book like the plague!

Amazing book! Deep and thought provoking, full of emotion, and a real page turner. I laughed, I cried (a number of times), and the characters are so well written I could really understand them and where they were coming from. So good you should buy it right away...in fact, go ahead and buy all 3 of the books in the trilogy because there is so much happening in them you wont want to have to put them down, or have to wait to find out what is going to happen next. I promise you wont regret this book perchase!

Wonderful conclussion to the Harry Potter series. J K Rowling writes this book with the same love and care as the past 6 books while drawing all the loose ends from the last books together to make you really feel satisfied. Heart felt and full of the strength and power of love and friendship. This is a must read!

Nick & Norahs Infinite Playlist movie cover

I love this book. It shows both the male and female leads view points going every other chapter per character. In this book you get to see how peoples actions and viewpoints can be perceived in contrast to what the person actually thinks and means. Wonderfully written and a funny read with great musical sprinklings. I highly recommend it!

Nick & Norahs Infinite Playlist movie cover

Great, great book. I couldn't put it down. I had already seen the movie before I got the book...but the book is different enough that I could still enjoy suprises along the way but also enough like the movie (which I loved) that I felt like I was still reading the same characters only in a slightly different series of events. This book is told from both Nick's and Norah's viewpoints, alternating every other chapter for each. So, you get to see how each one sees the other and how they interpret the others actions. Very funny and very witty. This book is a must read!

Deeply disturbing but also very moving. This story is one of such harship and such abuse that it is at times hard to read; though ultimitley it makes the reader realize that this story is one of triump in the face of extreme adversity. You will cry, but you will also feel much stronger by the time you finish this journey with Precious Jones.

How can you go wrong with a story about a woman who has to dress as a boy (in order to survive detection...and possibly death) who falls in love with a man that doesn't know she is a woman? And throw in a gay tailer, a small terror of a boy, and a group of cut throat assassins and thieves...how can it get more exciting and interesting then that? This book is just another great Celeste Bradley book waiting for you to read it and fall in love.

This is the last book in the Liar's Club series and a must read. The thrills and humor in this book make it worth reading even if you don't read the other books in the series, but it is made all the more wonderful when you have read the 4 books leading up to the suprises and suspense you will experience when reading this book. A truly great read!

This is the first book of the Liar's Club series and once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. And then once I reached the end of this book, I had to pick up the next one in the series and start on it, and then the next, and the next, and the next...this series is amazing. And the Royale Four series is a continuation of the Liar's Club series and a must read too (so 9 total, 5 Liar's Club books and 4 Royale Four books). These series will suck you in and you will love every second of them! They are romance and suprises from begining to end!

Great story about how what we are looking for may be the opposite of what we really want. This love story tells of a man searching for an unattractive woman to marry so that he can prevent his family's curse from continuing. Instead he winds up married to the most beautiful woman in the country...only he doesn't know it because she has uglied herself up to prevent having to marry anyone...but that made her his perfect choice. This book is a great story about love and it's many forms.

Great movie that depicts what the afterlife might be like...a run down version of our lives here on earth. Patrick Fugit is great in this movie as a boy who kills himself after a breakup with his girlfriend. And while on the other side he finds out she has killed herself too...so he goes to find her. Great story about unexpected love and friendship...even when your chips seem to be down. Worth a watch!

One of my all time favorite movies! You can't go wrong with Sandra Bullock (with exception to Speed 2). She plays a girl who falls for a man she has never formally met...and she saves his life and he lapses into a coma (doesn't that always seem to be the case?...lol), and then the man's family believes she is his fiance. Ultimitely, during the movie Sandra Bullock's character gets the family she has never had and finds love to boot! Fun story and wonderful acting! A movie you and your whole family can love.

Fun holiday movie! Melissa Joan Hart is great in this. She plays a woman who is dumped the day she has to go home and see her family for Christmas and since she has always been a disappointment to them she can't go home empty handed...so she kidnaps Mario Lopez's character and the fun ensues! The story is a riot and acting is good (especially for an ABC Movie Original). This movie will put you in the mood for Christmas...and for love!

I was slow to the Harry Potter craze...but I was in on it soon enough to be at a midnight release party for the last book. And I wasn't disappointed! Her books are so amazing and well ploted. It's hard to suprise me in a book, or a movie for that matter, and when they can do that both successfully and believably, I am always impressed. And J.K. Rowling is a master at impressing me! This last book was wonderfully written and I loved how she ended the series. I was definetly satisfied. I just wish there were more books in the series!
