Five Book Friday: In Memoriam
(0 comment)

I absolutely love the "Then and Now" series of books. I'm interested in city planning and architecture so they fit my needs well but they're also just incredibly fun to look at. The Portland one is also fascinating as I live in California now but hope to move north in the future. The only thing I wish they would do is put a map either in the front or back highlighting some of the areas in the book. I currently own this one and the Seattle one. Both are equally great and I plan to buy more of these books in the future!

I had to read this book for a geography class I took about a year ago. It's an amazing, though provoking look at what would happen after people were gone. I plan to buy more books from Weisman soon.
