What an interesting book! I loved learning about Black British and British Jewish writers. It was also cool to read comments from Welsh and Scottish writers and writers from Northern Ireland about how it feels to be British these days. But my favorite chapter was the one on the Booker Prize.

Portland's Goose Hollow
by

This book is a very interesting look at the evolution of Portland Oregon's Goose Hollow neighborhood. The author takes us on a journey that highlights how some of Goose Hollows buildings, creeks and streets evolved, and along the way gives us an interesting look, thru the years, at some of the people who once populated Goose Hollow. It is a great read even if you are not living in the Portland area.

My grandaughter and I enjoyed reading this book together. She is 7yrs old and she had me read it to her everyday for one week. She loved the pictures of the hairy man and she shivered when the hairy man tried to get Wiley Kids will love this one!
