Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. EXACTLY what I have been searching for! I wanted a good pattern to make a felt cake for a beautiful crystal plate I received. I searched the internet up and down and struggled to find anything with a cake pattern I liked. Powell's is a lifesaver and this book is perfection! These designs are beautiful and you get detailed directions and patterns. I can't wait to tackle every one of these desserts. They are really beautiful. I am so thrilled with this purchase. A++++

When The Morning Comes 02 Sisters Of The
by

Of the three books in the series, Sisters of the Quilt, this may be the slowest paced. Although it is still a wonderful, emotional read, the first and last books really keep the pages turning. Hannah begins pulling her life together and establishes some routine with her new found aunt. She works, goes to school, falls in love...then comes the call from home and things get shook up all over again!

When the Heart Cries: Book 1 in the Sisters of the Quilt Amish Series

Not only are you given an insiteful look into the Old Order Amish way of life, but a compelling story unfolds as well. The reader is pulled in and aches for the main character Hannah as she faces so many struggles. I couldn't wait to read the next installments of the Sisters of the Quilt Series. Woodsmall does a wonderful job appealing to any young woman that has ever felt like an outcast.

Grayson

Cox's notion that strong positive thinking will concur all prevails in this beautiful story of a lost baby whale. The author never really divulges how taxing physically the ordeal must have been. Have you ever swam in 50 degree water?? Its like torture. I think in her shoes (or swim suit!!) we would have all tried to do the same, but it took a truly special person to help Grayson. A touching, quick and easy read ideal for anyone needing a pick-me-up. A+
