Very informative and exciting. It had open my eyes to science discoveries which were credited to Arabs while it was Persian & vice versa. While I read it when I was still in college I had the opportunity to make my first voyage to marvellous Middle East and discover why in a certain time Muslim Arabs succeed and why later failed. For those who can read French better read the French version'' Leon L’ africain''' Best of Love Karim Lamrani - Dubai ( UAE)

Hi There, The Way he describe events is fabulous and entertaining to the point I got sweating as much as jack while trying to run between the court, the house, and the graveyard. The final was not clear, because we couldn’t know where Craig left, was he in Cuba? Was he the same guy Jack met by the swimming pool??? It stays a mystery!!

Hi There, The first time ever I finished a book in one night I guess. I have read six of Tahar Ben Jalloun novels and I highly recommend this one along with ‘’ The sacred night''. It's translated in a sample way and it reflects the culture of Morocco. I myself Moroccan and born in Fes and lived in Tangier too. Both cities which were and still are an example of how different cultures and religions can live in peace under the same sky. I read his novels in Arabic, French and now English, the day reading in spanish for me will be ''muy facile'' I will seek a translation of one of his novles. Karim Lamrani- Dubai ( UAE)
