, February 04, 2010
Unlike most hair styling manuals on the market, this book will not only show you step-by-step techniques for cutting, coloring and perming hair, but will also inspire and guide you on the path to becoming truly extraordinary in your craft. Cosmo Easterly, author and professional hair stylist, will show you how to unlock your creativity and imagination to create the perfect style for each client by studying clues in their personality and style and finding the proper balance in their facial features, while making it easily manageable with their personal lifestyle. This book includes comprehensive information and detailed techniques for perming and coloring hair to achieve the perfect design. He shows how to use color “as paint” to achieve certain illusions such as making the hair look longer and sleeker. There is even a section devoted to dealing with clients including how to remain positive and how to handle a difficult client. The end of the book contains a reference section which includes numerous tips and tricks of the trade complete with step-by-step instructions for creating 4 different hair styles. This is a must read for any hairstylist - from the beginner to the professional!

The Complete Guide to Buying a Second Home or Real Estate in Mexico: Insider Secrets You Need to Know
by
Bondanza

Whether you’re looking to retire in a tropical paradise or make a real estate investment, this book will open your eyes to another option – purchasing a home in Mexico. This book is much more than a guide filled with technical and legal instructions on buying real estate in a foreign country, although it does an excellent job in detailing everything you need to know while anticipating every question and concern. This book will lead you through the thought process necessary to determine if buying in Mexico is really for you and offers a great deal of sound advice. Sprinkled throughout the text are real life stories of folks who have purchased properties in Mexico along with the reasons why they chose to do so and the success they have found in their new investment or home. I found the section on what it’s like to live in Mexico especially interesting and helpful. The author covers every aspect of Mexican living including what the local culture is like, safety, religion, food, shopping, how to interact with the locals and the average costs of utilities, taxes and medical care. She also explains Mexican immigration including a clear description of the different types of visas needed depending on your residency status. In a nutshell, this easy to understand guide will hold your hand through every aspect of buying a home in Mexico from the decision of whether to buy, and in which area – to finding the type of property that is right for you – to how to fit into the local culture.

The Encyclopedia of Real Estate Forms & Agreements: A Complete Kit of Ready-To-Use Checklists, Worksheets, Forms, and Contracts [With CDROM]

This book contains every conceivable form, contract, worksheet or checklist you could ever need in regards to the purchase, sale and lease of residential and business real estate. The companion CD contains 250 ready-to-use forms which can be customized for your own personal needs. Being a very detailed and organized person, I find the checklists and forms included to be invaluable tools. It’s the most complete reference I’ve found. There are checklists and forms for conducting home inspections, tenant walk-throughs, move in/move out task list, what a seller should do before an open house, interior design and work lists, questions to ask when hiring designers and contractors, and much more. The comprehensive glossary at the end is most helpful when explaining terms to clients and would also come in quite handy for those who are new to the business. This book is a valuable resource for those just beginning a real estate career as well as those that are seasoned professionals. Having these forms and agreements at your fingertips will save you a great deal of time and money.
