Pop Tarts and pop culture need I say more! Note If I could split my vote I would give The Lincoln Lawyer my other half.

by
Erin Morgenstern

, January 01, 2012
Although the world of the Night Circus appears black and white to the novice, further inspection and exploration reveal colourful characters in a suspence filled magical competition. From Victorian London to European capitals to North America tales and challenges are presented to the reader and the strange rules of the game we observe are revealed. Follow Marco and Celia from their introduction and initiation into the contest until the sinister conclusion of the Night Circus.

Help
by
Kathryn Stockett
Fred Kennedy

This book was given to me on father's day by my daughter. It only took a couple of pages before I was engrossed in the story. Kathryn Stockett paints a vivid picture of the setting in the deep South against the background of the beginnings of the civil rights movement and the working conditions of the black maids featured in The Help. As enjoyable as Minny's home cooking.
