The Fifth Witness. Michael Connelly
by

Another Lincoln lawyer novel. This time Mike Haller has fallen on tough times and expands his business into foreclosure defense, only to see one of his clients accused of killing the banker she blames for trying to take away her home. Connelly gives us excellent knowledge of courtroom procedures and keeps us guessing on "whodunit"

The Lincoln Lawyer: Lincoln Lawyer 1
by
Michael Connelly

I've been reading and really enjoying Connelly's series on Detective Harry Bosch and didn't know what to expect about a story of Defense Lawyer, Mickey Haller. This was a book hard to put down as Haller takes on the legal system to defend biker gangs, murderers, druggies and the dark side of life in a court of law. His current client is a wealthy real estate agent who is caught and charged with beating up a woman with the intent to rape and murder her. Now Haller has to move the evidence to the gray area and try to free a client who says he is innocent and was set up, although all evidence say he did it. Michael Connolly shows that he really knows his way in and out of a court room just as well as the workings of police departments, FBI and law inforcement that he writes about in his detective series.

Pirates of Somalia Inside Their Hidden World
by
Jay Bahadur
tamerisk
, September 01, 2011
Bahadur, by living amid the pirates, acquired firsthand knowledge on how they think, organize and the dangers they face kidnapping ships. He has wrote a very indepth book about this serious problem of seaborne crime wave and the country of Somalia. The book brings you into 2011 and Bahadur devotes his last chapter on how he perceives the fix-it answers might be.

Danielle Trussoni makes the story come alive on a biblical and scientific level. Almost believable that Angels walk the earth and there are societies who battle the evil.
