An excellent set of stories! Some are twisted and surprising, for example "A Study In Emerald" had me literally screaming in my seat as I read it!

Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
by
Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

I love this book; it's what introduced me to Gaiman as an author and he has quickly become my favorite writer since! I particularly love this book for all of the footnotes and wonderful tangents. They were endlesly entertaining and clever. I enjoyed the humor with a slightly dark edge to it that is consistently empolyed throughout the book. I always appreciate multiple storylines that somehow all tie in together but only if done well. And boy, does this book do it well! All of the charcters are fantastic and I adore the twists on classic Biblical figures. Adam's speech at the end has become one of my favorites and I agree with it whole heartedly. I would suggest these book to anyone but especially to someone with an quirky sense of humor and a taste for borderline heresy.
