This book was a delight to read. Nick goes from being an inconfident boy to a young adult who learns to accept and embrace who he wants to be and the power he was born with. He learns that it's not heritage that makes a person but rather thier actions and this leads to a serious character growth that stunned me. I completely loved this book and all the characters in it.

This book was very good in the sense that it was written very well and the characters were compelling and easy to love. The storyline flowed well and conclusively, leaving a hint of mystery that made it engaging and very difficult to put down. There was the occasional romance that did have a lot of spark and had me rooting for the individuals involved. The protagonist's naivete in the social world was also endearing rather than annoying, and she was a very strong character.

I read this book and I was so amazed. It was well constructed, well written, and so completely engrossing. I couldn't put it down even for a second when I started reading it. This series is a must read and very enjoyable.
