I really enjoyed this story. The author wove a wonderful tale with her characters. Blake is such a sweet and gentle man in the beginning of the story. In the end we see the strength and conviction this man has for his friends and the woman he loves. I really like Livie. She has lots of decisions to make in her life. She doesn't feel she is a strong person, but as she commutes everyday on the train and smiles to Blake she finds herself. She becomes a strong and believes that what's inside the person is so much more than what the eye beholds. Ms Anastasia writes a touching and complex story with Poughkeepsie. I liked how this highly wrought story of love, loss and survival began with a woman's compassion towards a homeless man. The characters are real and raw...some so likeable you root for them, some you hate and hope karma gives them their just rewards. I thought this story was well thought out and detailed. Poughkeepsie is a well written and entertaining...filled with drama and suspense. Entertaining and enjoyable. edit

I have a Kobo Touch and love it. One thing I wish I could do is use it at night without a reading light. I think the Kobo Glo might be the next ereader I buy. It sounds perfect for me!
