Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. Explosive Eighteen Stephanie Plum

Explosive Eighteen is slightly disappointing and somewhat frustrating. While the attempt to build suspense with Stephanies refusal to disclose what happened in Hawaii was a well played gamble, in the end not nearly enough information came out. The explanation for the trip left me feeling as though something major had been left out. It was kind of a let down after the suspense that was readers were left in at the end of Smokin' Seventeen. All in all it was still a wonderful book, though, and I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Notorious Nineteen A Stephanie Plum Novel
by

I started reading this series in late May and have read all twenty two books previous to this one. That does, of course, include the four between the numbers novellas. While the last two books were a little less than stellar, I have still immensely enjoyed them all and am extremely excited for Notorious Nineteen to be released!! After the little cliff hanger that Explosive Eighteen ended with, I cannot wait to see what kind of trouble our inept main character gets into or what progress is made in her little love triangle!! :)
