Queen of the Tearling Book 1

Finished The Queen of the Tearling. My Review: Very well done book. Some have commented that the book is "slow", but I see it as the beginning of an epic trilogy! And couldn't disagree with those people more. Much like the Fellowship of the Ring, Erika Johnson has set up just the beginning of a wonderful journey for us. She has such detail and paints such a vast picture, I felt like I was inside each character'a mind. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. She did an excellent job of putting a strong political aspect in this book, much like it would be in The Dark Ages and times of Kings and Queens. Showing us ruling a kingdom is much harder than it sounds. With a touch of magic and mystery, betrayal and brushing past the clutches of death, I'm sure you will like this book as much as I did. Very good read. I recommend to pick it up at Costco. Can't wait for this sequel as well! This is only the beginning!!
