Having been a fan of Brian Doyle's essays for quite some time, it was a joy to experience his fiction. His prose is lyrical and delicious and the book is pure pleasure to read alone or read aloud. His descriptions of the Northwest and it's weather are written like a true native son. Bravo!

Infants & Mothers revised 1983
by
T Berry Brazelton

I am ordering this book today for my son, whose first child will be born this month. I treasured this book when his older sister was an infant as it helped me recognize the differences between all the children around me. That allowed me to relax and let my babies be themselves, as much as any parent is able. I look forward to sharing Dr. Brazelton's insights with the parents of my grandchild and I recommend this book to all new parents (and grandparents, too!).
