"I fell in love with Crosby, Stills, and Nash's song 'Southern Cross' when I was fifteen. By the time I got to college, 'I'm going to sail around the world someday' was sort of my pickup line." Continue »

Publisher Comments:

Sekhet-a-ra is the daughter of the Pharaoh and destined to become, with her brother Neyah, co-ruler of Kam — ancient Egypt. As a child, she develops a strong love for the teachings of the mystery schools, fascinated by the stories told her by her father and Ptah-kefer, the high priest.

While still young, Sekeeta begins having psychic experiences of her own and is recognized as one who will be, with proper training, a "winged Pharaoh" — a ruler and priest with clairvoyant powers. At the age of 10, she is sent to the temple school for rigorous training in esoteric knowledge, and the development of her inner powers and awareness.

Sekeeta's training reawakens in her the ability to recall in vivid detail, once she rises in the morning, lessons and instruction she had received while asleep. She is also taught about life after death. Her training concludes with a four-day initiation, during which time she leaves her body and faces powerful tests of her will and psychic discernment. By passing the initiation, she proves her readiness to carry out duties both as a priestess and as Pharaoh.

The unexpected death of her father thrusts Sekeeta and Neyah into their roles as co-Pharaohs far earlier than anticipated. But she meets the task with wisdom and courage, even leading the Egyptian army successfully against a surprise attack.

Winged Pharaoh is a rare delight that takes us back to a time of great wisdom and introduces us to the cosmology, culture, healing arts, and psychic life of ancient Egypt.

Today, as the mysteries of life are being restored on earth, the hidden and esoteric practices of "Kam, " as Egypt was called, provide us with a clue of what is to come in our society, asspirit once more dominates our culture and our thinking. What was known to only a few priests in ancient Egypt 8,000 years ago may, one day, become common knowledge to the whole of science, for the good of mankind.
