Her research focuses on strategies toward the development an HIV vaccine through optimization of peptide immunogens. Dr. Blondelle received her Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Montpellier, France, in 1988.

About the Author

The author is Sylvie Blondelle, Ph.D. Dr. Blondelle is head of the biochemistry/microbiology department at the Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies. Her research involves the development and novel model systems and strategies for the identification of lead compounds for the treatment of Alzheimer's. Dr. Blondelle received her Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of Montpellier, France, in 1988.
