Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

In her groundbreaking book, Wild Feminine: Finding Power, Spirit, & Joy in the Root of the Female Body, Tami Lynn Kent invites every woman to journey deep into the heart of her female body, to her root place, and the root of all womanhood.

Through stories, visualizations, and creative exercises, the wisdom arising from the female body has been distilled into this guide for us to explore the feminine nature as never before. Based on her work with women in the pelvic space as a women's health physical therapist, Kent has created a whole new way of discovering the female form. Kent draws from her experiences with the physical body and the female energy system to provide a framework for us to explore our inherently creative nature: this inner range of the wild feminine. Kent teaches us how to read the physical and energetic patterns of the pelvic bowl and restore access to the natural resources the wildness within our bodies.

Along the way, Kent infuses this guide with healing stories and rituals for every woman to cultivate her creative ground, change core patterns that diminish her radiance, and receive sustenance from her own wild feminine.

Review:

"Wild Feminine is the medicine that we all need to bodily reclaim the power and pleasure that are our birthrights." Christiane Northrup, MD

Review:

"By suggesting a return to the root, Tami Lynn Kent offers direction for a path largely forgotten. Within the pages of Wild Feminine lies great hope for women, natural birth, and all things precious to the female body." Ina May Gaskin, midwife and author of Spiritual Midwifery

Review:

"As a former midwife and the current organizer of international conferences for women, I am thrilled to recommend this unique book by Tami Lynn Kent. There is not a woman in the world who would not benefit from reading it. Whether you are seeking healing from emotional or sexual wounding or you just want to learn how to more fully enjoy and inhabit the most feminine aspect of yourself, this book will be a friend for life." This book really helped me figure out some tough issues after the birth of my first child. Every woman should have this kind of pelvic care recommended for basic postpartum wellness! Tami is really intuitive and does some amazing work that most people of western European influence/persuasion do not have experience with. It seems to be something of a forgotten art that has been emerging lately. She included lots of wonderful energy balancing exercises which seems to be the basis for good health. Enjoy, be uplifted and inspired by reading this book!

I am actually just ordering this book but have had a session with Tami while visiting Portland. She's an amazingly intelligent and gifted healer who uses such innovative and yet ancient ways of helping her clients with their own self-knowledge. I really applaud her talents and wisdom and look forward to reading the book. I'll comment again after the pleasure of reading it.
