A text written with the intent of encouraging practicing MR radiologists, angiographers, and clinicians interested in vascular disease to begin incorporating new magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) techniques into their routine clinical practice. Following introductory chapters which cover the basic principles as well as more advanced concepts of time-of-flight and phase-contrast MRA, some of the newer techniques explored are MRA in the evaluation of the veins and arteries of the trunk and extremities; coronary and pulmonary MRA; the development of blood-pool contrast agents for MR; applications of MRA in neurology, vascular surgery, and cardiology; and helical CT angiography.
